Therapy provides a safe, confidential setting to explore issues that impact our lives and well-being. This can include negative childhood experiences, trauma, difficulties in relationships, loss and grief, feelings of sadness or depression or identity. Therapy is a way to affect changes, voice fears and needs or resolve specific issues. The therapy process is led by you and supported by me, we work together to seek greater awareness and clarity in order to facilitate change. The process will help you to connect with your authentic self, the best version of you.
It is a space to explore aspects of you that may have impacted negatively due to judgement and discrimination which have been internalised. I offer experience in exploring sexuality, gender and relationship choices in order to reach a place, not only of acceptance, but of freedom and celebration. I am LGTBTQIA+ and GSRD Therapy (Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity)positive and am committed to supporting, understanding and evaluating the queer and non-heteronormative ways of living and existing. Your identity may not be the specific focus of any therapy, however it is reassuring to know that I am experienced, informed and confident about exploring diverse identities.
My therapy is feminist, queer-affirmative, body positive, sex positive and acknowledges the impact of systemic oppression such as white supremacy, heteronormativity and patriarchy. I strive to empower and support people to live life according to their own needs, desires and interests, holding as a core belief that difference and diversity are beautiful things to be nurtured. I provide a safe, non-judgemental environment in order to empower you to effect positive changes in your life.
